Crave Robbers, LLC is owned and operated by Aleda Curtis and her husband, Dan. When they bought Dan’s parent’s home it came with several pecan groves. Dan’s father planted the trees in the late 1970s.
In the early years, the nuts were harvested with a shaker and tarps. The tarps would be spread
out on the ground for the nuts to fall on, then the tarps would be emptied into trailers to take to market.
Over the years the harvesting process improved with better machinery and less manual labor, but in the last several years, getting the nuts to market has become increasingly difficult.
With trailers full of nuts and nowhere to take them, Aleda came up with an idea. Why not process them ourselves and make tasty treats out of them? Aleda went to work and began testing recipes. Taking batches of her trial recipes around town for people to sample, Aleda finally came up with a handful of winning recipes with more in the works.
